There is one question that instantly separates legitimate Turkish dental clinics from marketing agencies pretending to be clinics: "Can you show me your HealthTürkiye authorisation certificate?"
Since April 2025, Turkish health tourism regulations require any clinic treating international patients to hold an authorisation certificate issued through the HealthTürkiye platform — a system operated by the Turkish Ministry of Health. This certificate confirms that the facility is a registered, licensed healthcare provider that meets the standards required to treat foreign patients.
Marketing agencies — companies that advertise dental treatment online, handle WhatsApp enquiries, and collect deposits — cannot obtain this certificate. Only actual clinical facilities can. If the entity you're communicating with can't produce a HealthTürkiye certificate, you're not dealing with a clinic. You're dealing with an intermediary who will subcontract your treatment to whoever is cheapest or available.
Ask directly: "Please send me your HealthTürkiye authorisation certificate." A legitimate clinic will produce it within minutes — they're proud of it. An agency will deflect, change the subject, or claim it's "being processed." That response tells you everything.
One question. Ten seconds. It eliminates a significant portion of the options you're considering. And that's exactly the point — the entities it eliminates are the ones most likely to cause problems.
